OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Glenside Community Association exists to improve the quality of life for residents of Pontnewydd and the surrounding area. The charity promotes social inclusion, education and wellbeing by providing accessible community facilities and working in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations.

During the reporting period, the charity focused particularly on:

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

A key achievement during the year was the installation of a dedicated sensory room within Glenside Community Hall. This has enabled the charity to better support children with sensory and developmental needs, providing a safe and inclusive environment for families.

The charity strengthened partnership working with organisations including Torfaen Play Service, enabling the delivery of inclusive play sessions, respite activities and alternative education support.

Volunteers continued to play a vital role in managing and developing the community hall and supporting activities. The trustees record their sincere thanks for their commitment.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

At the end of the financial period, the charity held total funds of £43,971.56, of which £25,000 is held as designated reserves. The trustees consider this level of reserves appropriate.
