As reported at the last Trustee meeting we are required to submit an annual report for the period from the date of registration of the CIO (15th December 2021) to 30th September 2022. 

As the assets from the previous charities did not transfer until 1 October 2022 this will be a nil return and contain no financial information

## **Trustees’ Annual Report** 

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and is a registered charity, number 1197146 (registration date 15 December 2021). The charity is an amalgamation of four other charities, these being: Manchester Relief in Need registered charity number 224271 Manchester Children's Relief in Need registered charity number 249657 Manchester District Nursing Institution registered charity number 235916 Fund 

The Levenshulme Trust for the Relief of registered charity number 225116 Sickness and Suffering 

The names of the present Trustees and Secretary are set out on page 1. 

## **Objectives and Activities for the Public Benefit** 

The objects of the Trust are wide, as defined in the constitution and are for: 

- The prevention or relief of poverty in the city of Manchester by providing grants and items to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty. 

- The prevention or relief of poverty of persons in the city of Manchester, city of Salford and borough of Trafford who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm by providing grants and items to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty. 

This is achieved through the giving of grants to both individuals and organisations. 

The Trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Trust’s aims and objectives and in planning future activities and setting the grant-making policy for the period. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the prod in question the responsibility for the operations of the charity remained with the individual charities outlined above. The assets of the above charities were transferred to the CIO on 1 October 2022. 

## **Financial Review and Results for the period from 15 December 2021 to 30 September 2022** 

During the period in question the CIO had no income or expenditure, assets or liabilities, therefore this is a nil return.
