Virtually all activities are carried out by the Head Trustee (A. Hesser), with occasional support from the Treasurer. Work commitments of G. Webb have lead to him only being able to fulfil the essential tasks of trusteeship.

In this first year of operation Bryan’s Quest has had two objectives to support it’s Public benefit aims: 

Objective A: to secure sources of funding 

Objective B: to recruit volunteers 



- its achievements and performance, including reporting on its public benefit 

Principle achievements for the year are: 

Opening a bank account with Lloyds Bank 

Recruiting two temporary student volunteers from Falmouth University 

(each for 8 weeks) 

Initial research and development of two projects; ‘Wildlife Within Reach (encouraging creative people to make and donate animal models) and Tactile Wildlife Sketches (labelling and distribution) 

Developing and maintaining website 

On-going filming and narration for YouTube channel 

Due to the lack of availability of the trustees, who currently provide the main volunteer force, our ability to advance our public benefits has been severely limited. 

The Head Trustee has endeavoured to encourage visually impaired peole to engage with nature by several media appearances, such as on BBC Radio Devon and a high profile appearance on national television on BBC’s flagship horticultural programme Gardener’s World.

We have no debts. 

Bryan’s Quest received a £600 grant for ‘start-up’ enterprises, from the School for Social Entrepreneurs (funded by Lloyds Bank) 



A £100 compensation payment was received from Lloyds Bank, due to delayed administration processes when setting up the charity account. 

Sales of accessible labels (Way Tags),continued throughout the year, but were low. Generating an income of £285. All stock is donated to Bryan’s Quest, free of charge. 

Our only expenditure was to maintain the website, costing £118
