About Our Charity’s Work

Our charity is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and young people by providing access to enriching holiday camps and clubs. We specifically focus on families on low incomes, ensuring that children and young people who may otherwise miss out on such opportunities can participate in safe, fun, and educational activities during school holidays. In addition to our camps and clubs, we offer small grants to individuals, enabling them to access physical activity opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach due to financial constraints.

Through our programmes, we aim to foster inclusion, improve well-being, and help build confidence and resilience among the young people we support. Our activities are designed to be both enjoyable and developmental, encouraging participation in sports, arts, and team-building exercises. We also work closely with families, schools, and community partners to identify those most in need and to maximise the impact of our support.

Where Our Money Comes From

The charity’s income for the past year has come from a variety of sources. A significant portion was secured through grants from other charitable organisations, local councils, and government programmes, such as the Holiday Activity & Food Programme. These grants have been vital in allowing us to expand our services and reach more children and young people.

In addition, we have received generous support from community fundraising events, organised both by our team and by dedicated supporters in the local area. These events not only raise essential funds but also help to raise awareness of our work and engage new volunteers and donors. We are immensely grateful to all those who have contributed financially or in kind, enabling us to continue our mission.

How We’ve Spent Our Money in the Past Year

In the last financial year, the charity’s expenditure has been focused on delivering direct support to our beneficiaries and ensuring the smooth running of our holiday camps and clubs. The main areas of spending have been:

We are committed to ensuring that the majority of our funding is directed towards frontline services and direct support. Administrative and governance costs are kept to a minimum, and we regularly review our expenditure to maximise efficiency and impact.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, our priority remains to reach even more disadvantaged children and young people, providing them with memorable experiences and opportunities for growth. We will continue to seek new funding sources, strengthen our partnerships, and listen to the needs of our community to ensure our programmes remain relevant and impactful.

On behalf of the trustees, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our charity over the past year. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of the young people we serve.
