Football Rising – Annual Accounts and Trustees’ Annual Report

Activities

The object of Football Rising, as set out in its Constitution, is to promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by supporting female athletes and sporting leaders in marginalised and excluded regions to realise their full potential and be exceptional and inspirational on and off the field. In doing so, we pursue strategies including:

Regrettably, since the last annual report, for the period to 30 June 2023, Football Rising has faced challenges undertaking its activities due to limited resources and challenges faced by its trustees. As such, it has been in a period of temporary dormancy while the trustees consider the way forward. The trustees are actively working to consider next steps for Football Rising.

Trustees

On establishment, Football Rising had four trustees. At the inaugural trustee meeting of, an additional trustee was appointed by unanimous resolution, having regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for Football Rising’s effective administration. The trustees are below.

Annual Accounts

In the reporting period, Football Rising has received no income, incurred no expenditure and, as at 30 June 2024, had a balance of zero.

As Football Rising remains in start-up mode and relies on voluntary efforts by trustees and the work of our partner organisations, the trustees are not concerned by the present financial position and do not believe there are any uncertainties about Football Rising continuing as a going concern. The trustees have previously pursued philanthropic and commercial support for Football Rising. Football Rising has to date received extensive pro bono support from Clifford Chance LLP (legal) and 17 Sport (consultancy).

Football Rising’s primary asset is its intellectual property. Details of its intellectual property are set out in prior annual reports.
