The trustees are responsible for setting strategic direction, overseeing activities, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. During 2022, the trustees met four times to: - Discuss how to evolve and develop the charity’s structure and activities; - Plan recruitment of additional trustees to strengthen governance; - Review policies and procedures needed for future operations. ## **Objectives and activities** The charity’s object is to advance education for the public benefit through the provision of grants of financial assistance to economically disadvantaged current or prospective students of the College of Practical Homeopathy (UK), to support them in the completion of their education and professional qualification in homeopathy. By preparing to offer financial assistance to disadvantaged students, the Foundation’s work aligns with the advancement of education for public benefit. ## **Achievements and performance for the year ended 31 December 2022** 2022 was the charity’s first full financial year since registration. The trustees concentrated on establishing the necessary governance and administrative framework. ## Key achievements: - Held four trustee meetings to plan the charity’s development; - Reviewed governance and administrative requirements for operating as a CIO; - Discussed strategies for trustee recruitment and long-term planning; - Outlined steps for fundraising and grant-making once operational. The Foundation did not undertake fundraising or make any grants during 2022 while foundational work continued. ## **Financial review** The charity had no income and no expenses during the financial year ended 31 December 2022. No funds were held and there was no movement on reserves during the year.
