BYB@Blackrod is an independent registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation which is managed by a board of ex-officio trustees aligned to Blackrod Primary School.

The Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Business Manager and Governor Representative of Blackrod Primary School (each, the office holder) shall automatically (ex officio) be a charity trustee, for as long as they hold that office and the community representative is appointed.

These trustee members are supported by Associate Member Trustees who are important members of our community bringing expertise, experience and challenge but who do not have voting rights. All trustees are provided with the a trustee induction pack prior to become a member and the Associate Member Trustees are volunteers.

BYB@Blackrod have policies and procedures which are managed and monitored by trustees on a regular basis, including:

Objectives and activities

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

The objects of the CIO are to advance in life and relieve needs of young people up to the age of 18 through: a) The provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life; b) Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society.

Throughout the year activities have taken place which have helped children and young people of different ages which have given the opportunity to develop their skills, capacities and capabilities. Throughout all activities, trustees have had due regard to the charity commissions public benefit guidance and have taken into account both the guidance and the objects of the charity.

Activities throughout the course of the year have included the provision of recreational and leisure time activities designed to help children and young people across the four quadrants of:

We would like to thank all volunteers for their valued contribution to the development of BYB@Blackrod and would like to thank all partners for their continued support.

As we continue our strategic development for the year ahead we will continue to focus on the objects of the constitution and to further develop activities in each of the four quadrants of:

Section D Achievements and performance We have specified our main activities above, which we also agree to be Summary of the main our main achievements. Throughout the course of the year we have achievements of the charity generated positive outcomes for 313 children from Blackrod Primary during the year School, and over 140 children, young people and families in the Blackrod locality, some of which have benefited from multiple opportunities. We have benefited from volunteer time greater than 226 hours. Section E Financial review The CIO complies with the requirements of the charities Act 2011 with Brief statement of the charity’s regard to the keeping of accounting records, to the preparation and policy on reserves scrutiny of statements of accounts, and to the preparation of annual reports and returns.
