Our Mission
At Light of the World Ministries, our mission is to glorify God through worship that exalts Him, and by steadfastly adhering to biblical principles. We are dedicated to making disciples, meeting the needs of widows and orphans, and serving our community with compassion and purpose. We emphasize the exercise of spiritual gifts, welcoming newcomers, and being open to change—all while trusting in God through fervent prayer. Through fostering genuine worship, strategic evangelism, and strong leadership, we aim to inspire all members to invest in God’s work and reflect His love through meaningful acts of service.
Aims
One of our primary objectives is to inspire and equip our members to fully embrace and embody our clearly defined mission and purpose. We aim to cultivate a deep understanding of Scripture through dedicated Bible study, encouraging everyone to draw nearer to the heart of God. Central to this goal is fostering an awareness of God's empowering presence, which enables spiritual growth and flourishing within a Christ-centered community that nurtures mutual learning and support.
Additionally, we are committed to mobilizing our members to actively engage in strategic evangelism, sharing the transformative message of the Gospel with those around them. We also place a significant emphasis on serving the needs of our local community, offering compassion and practical aid to those who are vulnerable or in need. In doing so, we strive to be a tangible expression of Christ's love and advance His mission through impactful service and outreach.

Missionary Work
As a non-profit organization, we are committed to using a portion of the proceeds raised through our weekly offerings to give back to those less fortunate through our missionary work. Within the UK, we actively support several impactful initiatives, including homeless outreach, assistance for single mothers and low-income families, and programs aimed at youth development.
In our efforts to support the homeless, we provide essential resources such as nonperishable food items through our monthly tin collections at church. We also conduct regular evening outreach in Central and East London, distributing hats, scarves, gloves, and blankets to those sleeping rough.
We extend financial and practical support to single parents within our ministry, as highlighted in our accounts report. For youth, we address pressing issues such as knife crime by helping young people recognize their potential and aspire to greater things. To this end, we offer counseling services and create a safe, supportive environment for vulnerable individuals. In previous years, we hosted a motivational youth speaker who shared their personal journey of transformation from a past marked by knife crime, inspiring attendees to pursue a brighter future. Through these efforts, we are committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact on our community.

The funds raised through donations are essential in enabling us to continue serving our community and fulfilling our charitable objectives. These voluntary contributions from our members directly support the operations and activities of Light of the World Ministries, allowing us to further our mission and provide valuable services to those in need.

During the reported period, a shortfall in our overall outgoings was graciously covered by one of our dedicated members, ensuring the continued smooth operation of our ministry.
