**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE THE ARTS AND ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES BY PROMOTING AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF LITERATURE INCLUDING VISITS TO PLACES OF LITERARY INTEREST, A FORUM FOR THE DISCUSSION OF LITERARY TOPICS AND SUCH OTHER ACTIVITIES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.

**Activities:** The Barnes Literary Society offers a regular opportunity for people with an interest in literature to hear and question writers and speakers on a wide variety of literary topics. We also organise visits to places of literary interest and offer a forum for the discussion of literary topics.
