All trustees have served for the whole reporting period and it should be noted that Emma WestwoodFulcher and Jess Collom are related. 

## **The Aims & Objectives of Bishop Auckland Theatre Society** 

Our aim continues to be: For the public appreciation of the arts, in particular the art of communitybased theatre by providing training in theatrical skills and staging a variety of theatrical works in and around Bishop Auckland. 

## **Achieving Our Aims in 2024/25** 

In this reporting period, we continued to produce strong and well received performances: 

- Curses, Foiled Again! directed by member, Josh Railton 

- The Enormous Turnip, written and directed by member, Matthew Harper 

- A murder mystery, written and directed by member, Charley Stamp 

We were lucky enough to be nominated for and win: 

- Best Costume – Curses, Foiled Again! at Sedgefield One Act Festival 

## **A Note About Assets** 

We continue to hold £12,202 (recorded to the nearest £) that was accumulated before we became a charity. The Charity Commission are aware of this amount.

## **Notes about this document.** 

- Receipt submissions were stopped on 2 June 2025, with no further outbound payments being made. The only exception to this is our standing order for our storage unit that is withdrawn from our account on the first business day of July. 

## **2024/2025 Profit/Loss Overview** 

- On 29th July 2024, we had a starting balance of: £20,164.43. 

- On 6th July 2025, we had a final balance of: £15,674.64 

- **In this financial period, we made a  total loss of  £4489.79** 

Below is a top level overview of the financial year. Full breakdowns are provided overleaf. 

**Abigail's Party** (Cancelled) Profit of £286.80 **Administration** Loss of £1277.50 **Alter Ego** (Postponed) Loss of £487.00 **Little Shop Of Horrors** Loss of £5490.59* **Murder Mystery** (April, Postponed) Loss of £59.29 **Murder Mystery** (November) Profit of £721.02 **The Enormous Turnip** Profit of £1816.77* 

* The Treasurer notes that he is aware of possible outstanding invoices for these productions - it does not appear that Clearview Audio (Radio Mic Hire) has been paid. It may be the case that invoices have not been submitted or not passed to the Treasurer. **The estimated cost of these two outstanding invoices is £1344.00** and thai amount should be earmarked for payment. **This will make our working capital for the beginning of the 2025/26 financial year  £14,330.64 .**
