For Adults, the Club offers membership to experientsd or retuming rowers and runs Leam-tO-Row (LTR) courses for beginners. For Juniors, it runs outreach programmes wth local schools, LTR courses and supports Junior rowing trom J12 (12-year olds) through to J18 (1&year olds). In addition, the Club welcomes partiapation by students during vacations. It maintains a fleet of boats that are available for members to use and also invests in new boats. It also depends on volunteers to help in the maintenance of its facilities and to support members in activities such as com etrtions. Contribution made by volunteers Para 1.38 Other Achievements and Performance SORP refrrence Membershi Overall membership numbers have remained constant at about 100 but the club has gradually transitioned over re￿nt years from having more junior members to now having more adults (currently split approximately 45155). The reduction in junior numbets has been more pronounced for girls who now appear to have more opportunits.es following the recent success of female national teams. Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Para 1.20 LTR courses were held for both adults and juniors (from local schools). There were 12 members on the adult course with an 80Q/o retention rate. Com etitions The Club entered a number of Heads and Regattas over the course of the season and there was an encouraging increase in the number of adult crews competing. Junior crews scO￿d wins at Warrington (3), Northwich Spring Head, Shrewsbury (6), Trentham (5) and Burton (6). There were adult wins at Northwich and both Head and Regatta events at Burton. Junior crews competed in the Junior Inter- Regional Regatts at Northwich and the Club Cham ionshi s and a women's double reached the final of the British Masters Championships. ment Facilities and Trainin Juniors are coached on Saturday momings throughout most of the school year with additional evening sessions during the lighter summer months. Adults row in organised sessions on Sunday momings as well as Thursday evenings during the summer months. Early coached sessions have been intrOdU￿d on Sunday momings and have proven to be very popular. In addition, competent adults can use Club boats erther on their own or as part of a crew at any time. Separate indoor training sessions are held for both Adults and Juniors at a local gym during the winter months. Low lake water levels due to drought impacted on rowing towards the end of summer and contributed to major damage to one boat. Keele Universi Boat Club KUBC KUBC membership numbers remain low and the dub may close. All Aboard Youth Rowin The Club has an agreement with All Aboard Youth Rowing, a charity (1176153) under which coaches and equipment are provided during term time to children on the Pupil Premium Register at Macclesfield Academy to enable tI￿rn leam to row. This is done foT convenience and financial control but it distorts figures because it changes based on the number of competition entries and cannot be used for other purposes. The Club's total bank balances at year end amounted to £29.1 k which was 570/0 higher than at the start of the reporting period. However, these figures are distorted by the late receipt of KUBC subscriptions for the 2023124 academic year as well as receipt of £1.6k of unpaid 2023124 junior fees. A more realistic increase in totsl funds would therefore be approximately 44%.
