SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 This was the first year of the charity’s
existence. We held a couple of trustee
meetings to discuss strategy, and calls with
various Charitable Venture Capital
businesses, with the aim of growing the
capital available to the Charity whilst
concurrently investing in start-up businesses
developing products / services for the
wellbeing of humanity. We made one such
investment (Lionheart Ventures).
Further substantive operations were held up
during the year by our difficulty in opening a
bank account, without which it is difficult for
us to accept money or make grants and
investments. Progress has been made on
this issue at the start of 2023.
