Personal Stories: The Human Impact
Arley’s Story
Diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in July 2021, Arley was fitted with a Hickman line that kept him out of the water for over a year. Thanks to a FEAR-sponsored Drysuit, Arley was able to return to the water, resume swimming lessons, and eventually compete in swim meets. Today, he swims twice a week and has become a symbol of perseverance and hope.
Miley’s Holiday
Miley’s Drysuit enabled her to enjoy water parks in Spain during her first holiday abroad. Her joyful experience in the water, after years of restrictions, left a lasting impression on her and her family.
Molly’s Journey
Molly attended every single FEAR event this year, often travelling long distances. From barely letting go of her mother in the water to confidently diving, swimming, and participating in archery and canoeing, Molly has truly blossomed. Despite a recent surgery, she even joined FEAR for a magical trip to Disneyland Paris. Molly’s courage and dedication earned her this month’s FEAR Award .
