ANNUAL REVIEW BOARD REPORT

DAWN’S NEW HORIZON

2024

1. Trustees Annual Report

DNH CIO became a registered Charity in December 2021 with the charitable objectives of; To relieve the needs of adults in Norwich City and Broadland District Council areas, in particular but not exclusively who suffered domestic and/or child abuse by: a) the provision of information, workshops, counselling and support groups; and. B) the provision of food parcels, essential household items and clothing and other linked support to individuals in need.

As part of its ongoing Charitable business structure DNH CIO retains the original DNH Ltd, Community Interest Group, as the commercial partner for the Charity. In this role, DNH Ltd provides a service receiving and processing donated goods both for distribution to those in need and for financial return and provides the operation support and facilities for the Charitable Hub which administers and delivers most of the Charity’s services. The Shop/Hub relocated in 2023 just up the road but still in Sprowston, to larger premises which has allowed the expansion of the support that can be now offered and provided in-house.

Over the course of the reporting period DNH CIO has received a grant of £10,000 From the National Lottery Fund to support the supply of white goods to clients and £1,000 from the WROXHAM & HOVETON LIONS to support clients setting up their new homes with essential items needed.

In addition, the processing of donated goods, through the operations of DNH Ltd, have funded the operation of the Shop/Hub facility and provided a surplus to fund activities. In total the Hub facility has delivered:
