Activities

York Sailing Club promotes and facilitates community participation in sport and healthy recreation by providing facilities for sailing and other water-based activities, primarily but not exclusively for those resident in York and surrounding areas. We sail on the River Ouse at Bishopthorpe, 5 km south of York city centre, and also take part in sailing activities elsewhere in Britain and Ireland.

Objects: (a) To Promote And Facilitate Community Participation In Sport And Healthy Recreation By Providing Facilities For Sailing And Other Water-Based Activities, Primarily But Not Exclusively For Those Resident In York And Surrounding Areas.(b) To Advance Education And Training For The Public Benefit In The Subject Of Sailing And Other Water-Based Activities, Primarily But Not Exclusively For Those Resident In York And Surrounding Areas.
