Achievements and Performance
Highlights of Sailability Activities in 2024-25
The Trust is proud to have been able to support the following achievements and activities of Sailability at Carsington between April 2024 and March 2025.
The operation of Sailability at Carsington sailing club takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year with the exception of January. Support is provided to both regular sailors who are members of the club and also to visiting groups. Regular sailors averaged 26 per month and there were approximately 60 visiting sailors from groups such as Ashbourne Parkinson’s Society, Amber Valley Stroke Group and children from the WellChild Event.
Sailability was proud to have been runner up in RYA event of the Year for Summer Splash WellChild day
The club hosted a Hansa TT event and welcomed visiting sailors from around the UK.
The support provided comprises financial contributions to the running costs of the operations of Sailability. These include maintenance and repair of boats and ancillary equipment. Additionally, there were costs associated with inspection, testing and maintenance of the main jetty and hoists. We were also able to raise sufficient funds to embark on a search for a replacement/additional boat to our fleet.
We replaced one of the personnel hoists on the main jetty
Charities Commission Guidance on Public Benefit
