**Objects:** - TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF GWAUN CAE GURWEN AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS THE PROVISION OF A PUBLIC LIBRARY AND FOR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.- TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF THE RESIDENTS OF GWAUN CAE GURWEN AND SURROUNDING AREAS GENERALLY, BY THE RUNNING AND MANAGEMENT OF A COMMUNITY MANAGED LIBRARY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID RESIDENTS.- TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION IN THE SUBJECT OF THE WELSH LANGUAGE THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF THE WELSH LANGUAGE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF GWAUN CAE GURWEN AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

**Activities:** The organisation carries out its purposes by offering lending and reference library services with volunteer library assistants, using the lending collections of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and its own collections; hosting and arranging book clubs, writing groups, craft sessions, and language groups with volunteer and paid leaders;and employing a project worker.
