and build on our initial foundations. We
officially launched the charity in January with a
fabulous event where we presented our short
and long term plans and explained the premise
of the charity grants. We also raised some
initial funds to enable us to start the grant
award process.
We welcomed 2 new Trustees during 2023 –
Helen Hutcheson and Lisa Aird joined the
team.
During 2023 we awarded 9 grants for various
therapies - Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and
Speech Therapy. Grants were received by
families living across all 3 of our main areas –
Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales.
In terms of fundraising, we were very grateful
to receive some large donations from local
companies, as well as donations and raffle
income from the initial launch. We have
continued to participate in the Wrexham
Lottery which gives us a small regular monthly
income. We have applied and been successful
in securing some local grants and our annual
Christmas raffle helped to bolster our funding

of the period|Para 1.21|In January 2023, Therapy Stars Foundation
had a starting balance of £2903.71. The charity
had some expenses this month as we were
officially launching the charity. We paid £40 to
Wrexham County Council for a lottery licence.
This allows the charity to run raffles and
lotteries throughout the year. We also paid out| |---|---|---| £43.34 for official charity tee shirts for the trustees to wear at the launch and subsequent official events. We paid £15.70 for launch decorations and £120 for website running. We received donations of £284.35 in the month of January We received a large amount of donations in February 2023, which stemmed from the official charity launch - we ran a raffle and people made donations. The total income was £2258.17. The only outgoing in February was £8.28 for Google suite. In March we received charity donations of £5230. We paid out £120 for the running of the website. In March the charity also awarded its first three grants. Two grants of £468 and one grant of £498 - a total award of £1434. In April we received an income of £35 from Wrexham Lottery and Amazon Smile. We paid £8.28 to Google, and £120 to Wildcat for website running costs. In May the money into the account from donations, Wrexham lottery and Amazon was £481.46. Money out of the account was the monthly £128.28 to pay for Google and the website. In June, the charity paid out the £8.28 to Google and £120 for the website. We also awarded a grant of £500. We received an income of £35.50 from Wrexham Lottery. In July, money paid in totalled £111, this included £28 Wrexham Lottery money, £44.65 from two charity collection pots, and £38.58 from Charities Trust. On the 1st August the bank account balance was £8398.92. We received £39 from Wrexham Lottery and paid out £128.28 for Google and the website. In September we received a £500 donation from a local business and £32 from Wrexham Lottery. We paid out for Google and the website, and we awarded a £500 grant. The charity paid two invoices in October for grants that had been awarded, totalling £1000. We also paid £8.56 to Google and £120 for the website. We received £32 from the lottery and a generous £5000 grant from a large local business. We also received £2.92 from the third charity collection pot. In November we received donations of £50, £38.50 from Wrexham lottery and £8.30 from |||Just Giving. We paid £9.20 to Google and
£120 website running costs.
The charity received a total of £2265.92 of
donations in December. We paid a grant
invoice for £498 and paid £120 for the website
and £9.20 for Google.
The total income for the year 2023 was
£16,699.85. The outgoings for the year were
£5,877.52. Excess of income over expenditure
was £10,822.33. The account balance on 31st
