Horton Lodge Community Special
School - £3.000 given, to support the
development of an OLrtdoor sensory
garden for the children with significant
additional needs. The grant supported
53 children. all of which have physical
disabilities, aC￿sS a woodland area
which was previously inaccessible. This
opened up inclusive activities and more
possibilities around sensory immersion.

Revtve Heatthy Ltving - £2,500 given, to
fund the transport of a group of young
adults. giving them access to further
education. Financial hardship, within
their families. meant that there were
barriers to get to and from college to
enable them to continue their education
and such barriers could lead to social
isolalion. exclusion, and an inability to
fomi new peer groups.

food bank and mental health support
groups (15-20 male and female
attendees), providing aid to vulnerable
commun-rties in the East Midlands.
Additionally. the grant funded the
purchase of mental health support
resources, such as books and supwrt
tools to aid coping wilh mental health
issues, particularly focusing on support
to young families.

Every charity trustee must be a natural
person.
No individual may be appointed as a charily
trustee of the CIO:
rf he or she is under the age of 16
years., or
if he or she would automatically
cease lo hold office under the
provisions of the constilLrtion {is
ineligible to be a trustee)
No one is entitled to act as a charity trustee
whether on appointment or on any
re-appointment unlil he or she has
expressly acknowledged. in whatever way
the charty trustees decide, his or her
a￿ptance of the office of charity trustee.
At least one of the trustees of the CIO must
be 18 years of age or over. If there is no
trustee aged at least 18 years, the
remaining trustees may only act to call a
meeling of the charity trustees or appoint a
new chanty trustee.
There must be at least three charity
trustees If the number falls below this
minimum. the remaining trustee or trustees
may act only to call a meeting of the
charity trustees or appoint a new charily
trustee.
The maximum length of
time any trustee may serye is 9 years.
Apart from the first charity trustees, every
appointed trustee must be appointed
by a resolution passed at a properly
convened meeting of the charity trustees.
In selecting individuals for appointment as
appointed chanty trustees, the charity
trustees musl have regard to the skills,
knowledge and experience needed for
the effective administration of Ihe CIO.
