These included the provision**<br>**of classrooms, dormitories, staff**<br>**accommodation and a water-harvesting**<br>**facility as well as buying land for crop**<br>**production and supporting staff**<br>**salaries.**<br>**CHU (UK) has continued this work over**<br>**the past 16 months, continuing to**<br>**support staff salaries and funding the**<br>**following projects: meeting the**<br>**government requirements for the**<br>**schools to re-open after the Covid**<br>**lockdown, including the provision of 100**<br>**desks at Kakagate; bunkbeds for**<br>**Kyehimba and the provision of**<br>**mattresses and mosquito nets for both**<br>**schools; extra funding for food when**<br>**there was a shortage and prices**<br>**increased; the provision of teaching**<br>**equipment and materials; an increase in**<br>**staff salaries; safeguarding training in**<br>**both schools; completion of 4**<br>**classrooms at Kakagate; the provision**<br>**of an office and equipment; seed-**<br>**funding for projects to encourage**<br>**employment amongst disadvantaged**<br>**young people; fund-raising for the**<br>**further provision of a reliable water**<br>**supply for both schools; purchase of**<br>**land for future development at**<br>**Kyehimba.**<br>**All of these projects have improved the**<br>**lives and prospects for both the**<br>**individual pupils and the communities**<br>**associated with the schools.**|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Christian Hope Uganda, UK Ithe
Charityl for the period ended 31 March 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Act'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Chartty'5 accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination. I have followed all the applicable directions given bv
the Charity Commission under sertion 145151{bl of the Act.
Independent examtnerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect=
l. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by 5ertion 130 of the Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records: or
3. the accounts do not comply wtth the accounttng requirements concerning the form and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 21MJ8 other than any
requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a matter considered as part of
an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come acr055 no other matters in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the
