## EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 

Friends of College Wood is an organized charity currently existing under the UK laws. The Chairman Of our Team is Andrew Malloy who has many years’ experiences as a Town Councillor in Knutsford. 

Friends of College Wood was established in 2021 and obtained registration as a CIO on 1[st] December 2021 

The purpose of the FoCW is to ensure and protect the future of the College Wood amenity for the benefit of the community and the resident wildlife. 

As of the 2024/2025-year end (1[st] June 2025) we have completed 4 phases of a our initial 4-stage project to clear the verge of the wood, improved signage (“Welcome” entrance signs in place) and to improve the entrance paths into the wood. 

For our 2025/2026 year we have a pipeline of new projects to take us forward. Our prime focus for this year is to improve the health of the wood. Ivy infestation of 60% of the trees needs to be dealt with ahead of all other concerns– before the expected Autumn storms later in the year. 

Our previously outlined projects of establishing a rest/ educational area and further improvements to internal educational signage have been shelved until 2026/27. 

The ongoing program of planned mowing and the general maintenance of the verge and associated undergrowth continues in the background throughout the year. 

In the following year-end financial report, you will find an insight into Friends of College Wood current financial position.

**The Balance at the bank on 1[st] June 2025 remains as per the closing balance on 1st June 2024 -that is £383.70.**

## Conclusions 

After presenting the related data on Friends of College Wood income, expenses incurred and projected liabilities, for the year June 2024 to June 2025 and reconciling Known future liabilities and projected incomes we are confident that the organization is in sound financial health. Expenditure to date and known liabilities are outweighed by the cash at the bank. 

Accordingly, The Trustees have hereby approved the continuation of the program into the next fiscal year (2025/2026), with evaluations to be held on a quarterly basis.
