## **Achievements and Performance**

The period under review was marked by several significant achievements for the CIO. The year began with the London Hangout Event, held at the Evangelical Alliance Offices, where 25 Pastors from across Great Britain gathered for a day of encouragement and inspiration. Hosting the event in a neutral space provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relationship with the Evangelical Alliance, who continue to be highly supportive of our mission. From this gathering, we also connected with a new church-planting couple expressing a desire to establish a church in Northern England.

A further highlight was the ARC GB LEAD Day, held in September 2024 at Liverpool One Church, where the ARC GB Lead Team hosted 85 Senior Pastors and prospective church planters. The day featured inspirational teaching and investment from the ARC GB Team, the ARC Global Team, and Jonathan Lambert, leader of ARC Canada. Building upon the relationships established at previous Hangout and LEAD Day events, there was a strong sense of unity and commitment toward the shared cause of church planting across Great Britain. As a direct outcome, new church partnership enquiries were received for the first time. These potential partnerships are expected to lead to the establishment of new partner churches, supporting ARC GB’s mission both through financial contributions and practical assistance in organising future events.

One of the most exciting accomplishments during the period was that ARC GB’s first churchplanting couple successfully completed their training and are now preparing to launch a new church in London in March 2025. This milestone marks a major step forward in the fulfilment of ARC GB’s vision. The ongoing development of efficient and accessible systems to support the ARC church planting process has significantly expanded our reach among potential planters across various denominations and networks. Interest has also grown internationally, with requests to plant churches with ARC received from cities including Riga (Latvia), Barcelona (Spain), and Zurich (Switzerland), among others. These developments have presented a unique opportunity and challenge as ARC GB currently operates within Great Britain.

## **Future Plans**

The expansion of ARC GB’s reach continues to be both encouraging and exciting. Increasing numbers of Pastors, leaders, and church planters are engaging with ARC’s heart for leadership development, both personally and within their teams. In addition, several expressions of interest in church planting across Europe have been received, prompting strategic discussions about the potential for wider collaboration.

The Board is currently exploring the feasibility of greater alignment and cooperation between ARC Great Britain and ARC Ireland, with a view toward the possible creation of ARC Europe. Legal advice is being sought to guide this process, while both Boards are undertaking feasibility studies to determine whether amalgamation is a viable option. Both have agreed that vision alignment will be central to any future decision. Multiple joint meetings are scheduled for early 2025 to explore this opportunity further.

## **Financial Review**

The total income for the period was £6,500, and total expenditure was £5,656, all of which was applied directly to core charitable activities.

## **Reserves Policy**

The Board of Trustees has reviewed the charity’s reserve requirements in light of ARC GB’s early stage of development. A policy has been established to maintain unrestricted funds equivalent to one to two months of projected expenditure for the next financial period. This policy reflects the charity’s current position as a start-up organisation and recognises the need to build reserves progressively as income grows. The reserves will provide essential working capital to sustain ongoing activities in the event of reduced income. Given that operational expenditure remains low and fixed costs are minimal, the Trustees are confident that this level of reserve will allow the organisation to continue its current activities if funding decreases temporarily. The present level of reserves stands at approximately £1,000. The Trustees have also considered measures to reduce or pause activities and expenditure if necessary to protect the organisation’s financial sustainability.
