for the Ganapathy High School and Pre-<br>University College.<br>Konkarnival , September 2023: An annual<br>market-stall event in which £234 were raised<br>for two causes: the Trussell Trust (based in<br>the UK) and the Saraswat Education Society<br>(based in India). Each stallholder could<br>choose which of the charities the money<br>went to.<br>Musical Recital ,  October 2023 : Arranged<br>jointly with the Gowda Saraswath Samaj,<br>this event showcased Dr Ravindra Katoti on<br>the Harmonium and held at the Maharashtra<br>Mandal Hall, Dollis Hill Lane.<br>Diwali ,  November 2023 : Cultural<br>programme including dance, musical<br>renditions and skits in native language<br>(Konkani), before a dinner at which the<br>community could congregate. This is the<br>main event in the annual calendar where the<br>CSSUK community gets to meet. It was<br>organised jointly with the Gowda Saraswath<br>Samaj.<br>Heritage tour  : Organised jointly with the<br>Chitrapur Heritage Foundation (USA), this<br>tour for youngsters to visit India to learn<br>about important landmarks and the history of<br>our community.  It was self-financed by the<br>participants.<br>Vantiga remittance : £10,243 was remitted<br>for the Indian financial year ending<br>31/3/2024 to the Shri Chitrapur Math for<br>running its institutions, temples, salaries of<br>temple staff, providing food to devotees and<br>other religious and charitable causes under<br>the aegis of the institution.<br>Statement confirming  Para 1.18  The trustees have had regard to the<br>whether the trustees have  guidance on public benefit issued by the<br>had regard to the guidance  Charity Commission.<br>issued by the Charity<br>Commission on public<br>benefit<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>

The highlight was the Heritage Tour<br>for the youngsters. Then events allowed the<br>members of a relatively small diaspora to<br>maintain its community spirit and reminded<br>said members of our shared history and<br>culture.<br>The charities in the UK and India (primarily<br>the Trussell Trust, Ganapathy High School<br>and Pre-University College respectively)<br>benefited from the money we raised at our<br>events, and the Shri Chitrapur Math<br>benefited from our remittances, which it put<br>towards various causes reported to<br>members at subsequent AGMs.|

Review of the charity’s  Para 1.21  Our main source of funds in FY2023 has<br>financial position at the end  been membership fees, donations and<br>of the period  entrance and activity fees for participants in<br>the CSS UK events.  We use the entrance<br>fees and general funds to subsidise event<br>costs and hold a small, restricted fund to<br>subsidise future activity costs.<br>Most of the entrance and activity fees is<br>applied to running the events and making<br>donations.
