The charity also provides other means of support as the trustees determine appropriate, including but not limited to: 1. **Promoting Social Inclusion** : To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing individuals from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those who are socially excluded, and assisting them to integrate into society. 2. **Definition of Social Exclusion** : For the purpose of this clause, "socially excluded" refers to individuals who are excluded from society, or parts of society, due to one or more of the following factors: - Unemployment - Financial hardship - Youth or old age - Ill health (physical or mental) - Substance abuse or dependency (including alcohol and drugs) - Discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation, or gender reassignment - Poor educational or skills attainment - Relationship or family breakdown - Poor housing (i.e., housing that does not meet basic habitable standards) - Crime (whether as a victim of crime or as an offender rehabilitating into society) 3. **Support and Empowerment** : We support and empower individuals in the community by signposting and referring them to the appropriate teams or authorities, according to their specific needs. 4. **Food Parcels Distribution** : We also empower individuals by distributing food parcels to help alleviate the negative impact of the rising cost of living. _Positive Women Empowerment: Trustees’ Report and Financial Statements 2024_ ## **POSITIVE WOMEN EMPOWERMENTTRUSTEES' REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024** **Engagement in the Community:** In addition to the above, we have been actively engaging with people in the community, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This is done through group activities, including exercise and workout sessions. 5 Positive Women Empowerment: Trustees’ Report and Financial Statements 2024 ## **POSITIVE WOMEN EMPOWERMENTTRUSTEES' REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024** The trustees present their annual report, together with the unaudited financial statements of the charity, for the year ended **30th September 2024** . The trustees confirm that the Annual Report and financial statements of the charity comply with the current statutory requirements, the provisions of the charity’s governing document, and the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities," issued in March 2005. ## **Review of Financial Position** The financial statements cover the operations of **Positive Women Empowerment** and have been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the 2005 Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP). For the year ended **30th September 2024** , the financial activities show total incoming donations of **£19,995.00** , which represents the total donations received. These funds were primarily engaged in charitable activities. Total expenditure amounted to **£12,857.20** resulting in a net income of **£7,027.80** at the end of the year. ## **Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities** The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law. Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year that give a true and fair view of the charity's financial position, including the incoming resources and application of resources, such as income and expenditure, for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to: - Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently. - Observe the methods and principles set out in the Charity SORP. - Make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent. 6 - Prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation. The trustees are also responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity, and for taking reasonable steps to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities. This report is made solely to the charity’s trustees, as a body. ## **Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner** As explained more fully in the Trustees' Responsibilities Statement, the trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for these financial statements (under Section 43(2) of the Charity Commission Act), and this examination is carried out to state whether particular matters have come to our attention. ## **Basis of Independent Examiner’s Report** Our examination was carried out in accordance with Charity SORP. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. Hence, the report is limited to the matters set out below. ## **Independent Examiner’s Statement** During our examination, no matter has come to our attention that indicates that: - Adequate accounting records have not been kept. - The financial statements are not in agreement with the accounting records. - We have not received all the information and explanations required for our examination. ## **Statement of achievement** 7 We actively support individuals and families in our community by providing food and essential household supplies. So far, we have helped 500 people with food assistance. Our commitment to mental health continues as we engage and support women through emotional wellbeing initiatives, including exercise and meaningful conversations. We proudly participated in the International Women Empowerment Programme in New York City CSW69 March 2025, contributing to discussions and actions that promote gender equality in politics, education, economics and etc. Additionally, we have organized and powered several seminars aimed at reinforcing equal rights and opportunities for women and girls across all spheres of life. Our team also took part in the Red Cross 10km walk to raise support for underprivileged individuals.
