2024- 25

A year in the life of The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust

Hello from Kelly and Maisie Jordan Sinnott

Foreword from Our Chair of Trustees

Our team at JSFT is truly exceptional, and together we are dedicated to honouring Jordan by creating the legacy he deserves. While losing him has left an unfillable space in our hearts, I find comfort in knowing that Jordan’s charity is making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and it simply wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our trustee’s, patron, ambassadors and the JSFT community.

Together, we will continue to make a lasting impact in Jordan’s name.

Testimonials "We rely heavily on the financial support we receive from donors and the generosity of charitable trusts such as yourselves, who assist us in our work. Please accept a huge thank you again on behalf of the Horizons staff. Trustees and volunteers. and all these deserving young people of Plymouth.. We were delighted to be back at Beighton Gala in July 2024 where trustee, Chloe hosted two stalls at the village tradition that has been held for over 100 years!

Whilst connecting with the local community, and sharing our mission an amazing £948.65 was raised!

August 2024, we held our annual family day fundraiser at Shepley Cricket Club

With raffles, children’s inflatables and a T10 cricket tournament we raised a fantastic £3,556.92!

Our Ambassador, Duane Holmes won Man of the Match in October 2024 and donated his £500 to The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust

Duane knows first-hand of the work that the JSFT carries out and how much of an impact it makes.

On the 5[th] October 2024, the Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge in Sheffield held a late Summer Ball. This was supported by Lodge members, family, guests and friends.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity an amazing £3,100 was raised!

7

We are incredibly proud to be a Shepley Cricket Club shirt sponsor and even more grateful for their amazing support.

In November 2024, the club decided after hosting a hugely successful Bonfire Night that they donated £250 to two charities and The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust was one of the lucky recipients!

December 2024, we held a #Sinnott25 Christmas Extravaganza and one of the raffle prizes was a Bayern Munich football shirt signed by Harry Kane!

All funds raised in our football shirt raffle raised an incredible £4,000!

THE JORDAN SINNOTT FOUNDATION TRUST REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES For the year ended 31 March 2023

In submitting their Annual Report together with the consolidated financial statements of The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust for the year ended 31 March 2025, the Trustees have ensured that all financial statements comply with the Charity Act 2011 and Accounting & Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102, effective 1 January 2019).

Charitable Purpose & Public Benefit

The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust was established following the tragic and untimely death of footballer Jordan Sinnott in January 2020.

It is a grant awarding organisation whose objectives are:

8

The Charity Trustees are keen to support activities that advance the Objects in an effective way. However, they recognise that a limited amount of funds is available to distribute each year. The Charity Trustees' current funding priorities are:

The Charity Trustees welcome proposals that support their funding priorities from, organisations individuals and other charities that further the Charity’s Objects, although the Charity Trustees are particularly keen to support vulnerable and under privileged children and young adults.

The Charity Trustees will occasionally award grants that fall outside their priorities provided that they are satisfied that the grant will further the Objectives and is an appropriate use of the Charity’s funds.

Reporting requirements and monitoring: The Charity Trustees will take steps to monitor the use of the grant and verify that the grant is used for the purposes that have been agreed. The arrangements for monitoring will vary according to the nature of the grant and its size, but the Charity Trustees will always seek to ensure that the arrangements are appropriate and proportional.

JORD Principles

J ustly - We will act justly and in accordance with our moral standard as set out in our Charitable Objectives.

O pportunity - We want to provide the opportunity for individuals, clubs, groups, and team to harness the power of sport, play and physical activity.

9

R emove - In providing grant funding for vulnerable and under privileged children and young adults, we aim to remove the barrier to taking part in sport.

D eserve - We believe that every child and young adult deserves the right to fulfil their potential.

We did not receive any complaints about our fundraising activities during the last year. We abide by the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice and their Fundraising Promise. We strive always to act ethically and responsibly, using best practice when communicating with our supporters, and we strictly adhere to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) processes in relation to data usage.

Responsibilities of the Board of Trustees

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statement. In preparing this we have:

The Board is responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity.

The Board is also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

In so far as the trustees are aware

• there is no relevant audit information of which the company’s auditors are unaware; and

• we have taken all the steps that we ought to have taken in order to make ourselves aware of any relevant audit information and to establish that the charity’s auditors are aware of that information.

Risk Management

The Board of Trustees reviews detailed assessments of the risks to which the Charity may be exposed.

Comprehensive governance arrangements are in place to oversee risk management.

We have identified 3 key risks that we believe are critical to developing our plans for the year and to drive our more strategic planning.

11

Generating Income - That the income required to maintain our grant making services at the planned level is not secured.

Mitigating action:

Demand and meeting needs - That the demand for grants far exceeds services our planned levels, and we are unable to meet the needs of the communities we serve.

Mitigating action:

Reputation - That there is significant damage to the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trusts’ reputation and brand such that it negatively affects income or demand for grant making, or that significantly critical judgement is received from our regulators and/or commissioners.

Mitigating action:
