## **KESWICK IN WALES CONVENTION TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024**

## **Achievements and Performance during the Year**

We are thankful to the Lord for His blessing on our meetings at the Pavilion in Llandrindod Wells during week commencing 29th July 2024. The Lord was very gracious to those who were there and fellowship was, as usual, a great blessing in the Lord. We are thankful for the blessing of being able to “stream” our meetings live over the internet, but the greatest blessing is to meet with the people of God face to face. We plan to continue to stream our services for those who are unable, for whatever reason, to attend physically.

The morning Bible readings were very ably led by Rev John Macleod on The Glory of God as manifested to His people, mainly from the Psalms. The evening sessions were led by Rev Ali McLachlan who very helpfully preached on prayer, based on several passages from the Book of Acts.

On Tuesday afternoon, our “Coffee, Cakes and Chat session” was with Phil Davies of Sporting Marvels, who related to us his wonderful testimony of the Lord’s saving him and setting up a ministry in the Rhondda Valleys mainly to reach young people.

One of the highlights of the week was the address given on Thursday afternoon, by Rev Dr Eryl Davies (Heath, Cardiff) on Revival. Quoting Biblical and Historical accounts of revival it was very challenging, and the meeting closed with a time of prayer. During the week we also had mission reports from The Society for Distributing Hebrew Scriptures; The Open Air Mission; and IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students). The Bookstall was provided by Anne Newman of Purple Tulip Christian Literature Ministry and was greatly blessed with quality books etc.

The children’s work was ably led by Megan Scott of Child Evangelism Fellowship

There was a prayer meeting at 9.30am every morning led by the chairman, who urged those attending to take God’s precious promise to the Throne of Grace and plead with our heavenly Father to have mercy upon us in these dark and dismal days.

As usual there was precious fellowship between meetings. We give the Lord all the praise and honour.

## **Plans for Future Period**

As we move forward to the 2025 Convention, we are planning to meet at the Pavilion Llandrindod Wells between Monday 28th July and Friday 1st August 2025.

Our expected speakers are: Rev David Meredith from the Free Church of Scotland who will be delivering our Bible Readings each morning; Rev Philip Eveson from Wrexham will be our evening preacher. On Thursday afternoon, Rev Adrian Vaughan from Calvary Church in Haverfordwest will be preaching.

## **Trustees Responsibilities**

The Charities Act 2011 requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and the surplus of the charity for that period. In preparing the financial statements the trustees are required to:

- Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently

- Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent

- Prepare financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the trust will continue in existence.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Approved by the Trustees on 31 August 2025 and signed on their behalf by John Mitson, Trustee
