The promotion of social inclusion among elderly persons in Broadbridge Heath, who are excluded from society because they are housebound, or unable to drive or easily access public transport, by the provision of social events, including transport to and from home. 3. Achievements and Performance
SORP reference The charity has succeeded in achieving a number of its aims over the reporting period. Funds raised have been used to support the provision of a free Christmas lunch for elderly residents of the village, where they have been able to enjoy valuable social Summary of the main interaction. This bought the community together to enjoy the afternoon with food, games and activities.
The charity also hosted other festive activities to raise funds and bring the community together which included a Christmas Fair, Santa Parade and quizzes during the reporting period. These saw many families out and about in the village over the relevant periods, promoting the charity's aims and purposes of developing mental and physical capability through leisure time activity. The largest event is the Summer Fete which attracted approximately 1000 people from the local community and further. This helps raise funds for our charity aims while also promoting other local businesses and charities.
