|Policy on grant making|Para 1.38|U-turn Outreach has established its grant making<br>policy to achieve its objects for the public benefit to<br>provide relief of poverty among homeless people in<br>South Africa and support the advancement of the<br>Christian faith. Currently it is estimated there are<br>200,000 homeless people in South Africa. <br>The beneficiary organisation must be a registered non-<br>profit organisation in South Africa that is working from<br>a developmental approach to overcome homelessness.<br>The beneficiary organisation must also support the<br>advancement of the Christian faith, in particular but<br>not exclusively by providing opportunities for the<br>homeless community and those who work to support<br>them to engage in prayer, Bible study and religious<br>education.<br>U-turn Outreach will build partnerships with<br>organisations working on homelessness in South Africa<br>and will invite them to apply for funding. To access<br>funding, the beneficiary organisation needs to<br>complete an application form outlining the use of the<br>funds. Requests will be reviewed by the U-turn<br>Outreach board on a quarterly basis.<br>U-turn Outreach does not accept unsolicited donation<br>requests from organisations it does not already have a<br>partnership with and may not respond to any such<br>request received. U-turn Outreach reserves the right<br>to undertake background and due diligence checks on<br>anynew organisation before fundingisprovided.|
