The provision and maintenance of a village hall for meetln8s, lectures, Classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time activities The enhancement of the village recreation ground The furtherin8 of any other charitable purposes Achlevements through the year 2024 Our archltect started workin8 wlth a proJect manager from the vllla8e wlth the alm of usin8 and encouraging the community to 8et involved wlth the bulld of the new Hut, and the aim is to re-submlt the planning appllcation for a revlsed hut design In the current site which was approved in September 2023. The new Hut will be simpler design but will be more cost effectlve to build. A project plan for the new hut Includes three phases: 11 Preparatlon Phase - fundlng plan, legal groundwork, tènders from bullders 21 Demotlon and Buildin8 Phase 31 Flnal fit and completion Timeline- we hope to start work May 2025 with the project taklng from 9- 10 months The new Charlty webslte and Just-Glvlng page was launched with positive feed back. Shabbington Village Community Trust The Sh3bblngton Nature network had a well-attended series of talks, lectures and workshops during the year. Table Tennis Club has bean running in the hut wlth coaching taking place on Saturdays (for children and adults) and adult coaching on Tuesdays and Fridays, A successful year for our yoga and keep flt classes There have also been a number of children's parties in the Hut. Ralslng Funds through Grant GlvlngTrusts and Organlsatlons We have been approaching different grant 8lvlng bodles and have put tO8ether an extensive buslness plan. We were saddened to hear that the Communlty OwnershSp Fund was pulled and that the Lottery were unable to help us but we are contlnulng to approach other or8anisations and look at all optlons. Impart on the Communlty Through communlcation via WhatsApp, Facebook, Bernwood news, the vlllage newsletter, and meetlngs In the hut, there 55 high level of awareness and agreement that the hut Is to be demolished and a new hut built in the current site. Althou8h there are Ilmitations in terms of size and parklng, there is acceptance thls is our best option and we must now work together to dellver a new Village Hut that we can all be proud of. The number of people using the hut has Increased but It Is becomlng even mor• important to work towards creatinR a warm and rnodern new facllity. Focus for 2025 The focus of the charity wlll be on the dellvery on our prolect plan for the new hut, Charity Number 1196759
