ANNUAL REPORT FOR BOSTON BAPTIST TRUST YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2026 

The Charity continued to meet it objectives for the year. 

It has made grants of £12000 to Boston Baptist Church to support the ministry of the church and a small grant to an outside organisation. 

The restoration/refurbishment project to the church buildings has continued with a cost of £131,838 spent in the year 

The ‘Manse that was purchased last year has been rented out in advance of a minister being appointed to Boston Baptist Church in the middle of 2026 

Fundraising has continued to be achieved through  a small portfolio of rental properties which have performed well with good occupancy although the investments with NS&I have shown a reduced return due to lower interest rates. This investment will also continue to reduce as reserves are used to fund the restoration/ refurbishment of the buildings. 

The last remaining piece of land is currently up for sale and it is hoped that this might be sold in 2026/27 

The investment in the buildings of the church was almost completed by the end of the year with just the completion of the car park resurfacing and some work on the towers remaining outstanding. Although a planned maintenance programme will continue to demand some funds it is planned that an active plan to promote grant applications will be started in 2026/27. 

The trust also said farewell to three trustees within the year. But continues with five trustees, with the hope of additional trustees being appointed during next year.
