Seadream Environment CIO is governed by its Constitution and managed by a Board of Trustees, who are responsible for the overall governance, strategic direction and financial management of the charity.
As a small charity, the trustees maintain regular contact throughout the year and communicate as required to oversee the charity's activities, finances, governance and future priorities. Formal trustee meetings are held when necessary, with decisions appropriately recorded.
- The charity maintains a proportionate governance framework appropriate to its size and activities. During the year, the trustees reviewed and updated several governance policies and procedures to ensure they remained current and reflected evolving legislation, guidance and good practice. This included the annual review of policies covering data protection, health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, fraud prevention, financial management, reserves and environmental sustainability.
The charity maintains appropriate insurance cover, including professional indemnity, public liability, trustees' liability, employers' and volunteers' liability, equipment and business interruption insurance. Insurance arrangements are reviewed periodically to ensure they remain appropriate for the charity's activities.
The trustees are committed to ensuring the charity remains well governed, transparent and accountable in delivering its charitable objectives for the public benefit.

The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when planning and delivering the charity's activities.
The charity supports the conservation and enhancement of the natural environment through environmental research, community engagement and citizen science. ## Section D Achievements and performance
During the year, Seadream Environment CIO continued to promote the **Summary of the main** conservation, protection and improvement of the natural environment **achievements of the charity** through research, environmental monitoring, collaboration and **during the year** community engagement.
The charity contributed to water quality monitoring within the BLUEprint for Rivers project by undertaking environmental water sampling to support evidence-based catchment management and improve understanding of local freshwater ecosystems. This work contributed to the development of scientific evidence to inform future conservation and restoration activities.
The charity also continued to support citizen science initiatives, including the collation and analysis of jellyfish records submitted by members of the public. These data contributed to the South West Marine Ecosystem Annual Report and were presented at a regional marine conference, helping to improve understanding of the distribution and occurrence of jellyfish in South West England.
Work also continued on the development of innovative methods for monitoring and mapping seagrass habitats using aerial drone imagery. This work aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of habitat

Section D Achievements and performance mapping, supporting future conservation, restoration and long-term monitoring of these important coastal ecosystems.
Throughout the year, the charity continued to work collaboratively with partner organisations, researchers and local communities to promote biodiversity conservation, encourage public participation in environmental monitoring and develop practical approaches to protecting the natural environment. The trustees also reviewed and strengthened the charity's governance arrangements to ensure they remained proportionate, effective and aligned with current guidance.
