# **OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION OF J/CANAGARATNAM MADHYA MAHA VIDYALAYAM – UNITED KINGDOM** 

**Financial Year:** 01 April 2024 – 31 March 2025 

## **1. Charity Details** 

The Old Students Association of J/Canagaratnam Madhya Maha Vidyalayam – United Kingdom is a registered charity operating in the United Kingdom. The charity exists to support educational, cultural, and welfare activities connected with its alma mater and the wider community. 

## **2. Trustees and Governance** 

The charity was governed by a Board of Trustees who met periodically to oversee the charity’s affairs. The trustees serving during the financial year were: 

- Arunasalam Manoharan – Trustee 

- Jegasothy Kanagalingam – Trustee 

- Thamotharampillai Thijagaseelan – Trustee 

- Padmasri Jeyaratnam – Chair, Trustee and Charity Contact 

- Thivyanithy Sutharsanan – Trustee 

- Jerathinam Jeshree – Trustee 

- Sundaralingam Prabangan – Trustee 

No trustees received any remuneration during the financial year. 

## **3. Objectives and Public Benefit** 

The charity’s objectives are to advance education, promote cultural cohesion, and support welfare initiatives. The trustees confirm compliance with public benefit requirements. 

## **4. Activities and Achievements** 

During the year, the charity supported alumni, educational, and cultural activities in the United Kingdom and delivered limited charitable activities in Sri Lanka. 

## **5. Financial Review** 

Income was received mainly from donations and membership contributions. Expenditure included charitable activities and administration costs. £599 was spent on charitable activities outside the United Kingdom (Sri Lanka). 

## **6. Risk Management** 

The trustees reviewed risks and implemented appropriate controls. 



## **7. Trustees’ Declaration** 

The trustees confirm that this report has been prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and that it accurately reflects the charity’s activities for the year.
