This award-winning volunteer-run registered not-for-profit voucher scheme was created to help people in need, either directly or through organisations, to buy essentials like food, groceries, toiletries, clothing, pet food, non-alcoholic drink and babies/children’s stuff from high street shops such as Aldi, Iceland, Primark, etc.
ITS STRUCTURE AND DETAILS OF HOW IT IS MANAGED, INCLUDING HOW IT RECRUITS TRUSTEES.
There are 2 forms on the website, 1 for organisations and 1 for people in need directly. Organisations provide proof by means of a letterhead. People in need have to enter their email address and verify the email. Fill in the form, providing evidence of their name and address, as well as the form asks for their postcode. if they are homeless then a letter from the GP. If they don’t have a GP Once completed, a copy of the form is sent to the recipient along with a validation code. I then message them to ask for the validation code. I then message them to build a rapport.
Theresa runs it primarily on her own with some help from her trustee, Rob and a couple of supporters
