promote social inclusion for the public
benefit of men. living in Lancaster and
the surrounding district, by preventing
them from becoming socially excluded,
lieving the needs of those people who
are socially excluded and assisting them
to integrate into society through the
provision of opportunities and premise5
in which men can meet jointly or
individually undertake and share
creative. physical. social and recreational
activities of their choice.
We provide social and practical activities
in a safe space for clients to meet.
converse and Sha￿ interests. as well as
providing signposting lo other more

The charity is entirely volunleer run. The
contribution made by all members who
actively volunteer is vital and amounts to a
saving in costs wthoul which the charity
could not provide activitÈ8S.

In the reporting period LMH..
Continued to grow ils membership to 156
official members, though several people
beneffil from our acltvities wlhout official
membership.
Maintained a minimum of four regular
weekly activities. as well as other
seasonal activities such as 'walking
cricket.
Made woodwork products for donations
Supported fairs and Fairtrade days. as
well as even15 like Morecambe Bay
Health Festival
Extended and deepened contacts with
other charities
Continued with Lancaster Integrated
Care Community {ICC}
Re￿iVed several social prescription
referrals
Raised its profile through more extensive
publicity
Provided lunch every Friday for 20 to 45
people

Thanks to funding from the DHSC
Suicide Pfevention Fund the leadership
team and other LMH volunteers have
accessed ZSA Suicide Awareness On-
line Training. nexi level training in Mental
Health First ￿d, and Orange Button
training. As a result, the project team
have identif￿d new activities and ways
of operating that would make it easier for
men from higher risk groups to
partiapate in LMH activities.
For example, providing a quiet space
and quiet group meetings for Ihose with
hearing loss or those with anxiety and
adding activities such as digital inclusion
and yardening (gardening in a yard)
surtable for those with limited mobility.
There has also been an increase in other
activities sometimes short term or one-
off, sometimes longer temi and these
include: ccrf)kery, art classes, craft
activities, coffee momings. music
sessions, [al￿aY interest group. model
building, photography, fantssy foolball
