In October 2024. Bolton CVS nomin¥ied Crexeni Ffy)d Bank for the Kings Award for Voluntsry Seryices. The
nomination ststed, "The volunt¢er5 who operale ihi5 organisjtion are truly remarkable individuals who tirelessly give
their lime and energy io ensure ihai ihose in need have acce5S to food. They provide help and assistance wirh respect.
digniiy. kindness and empathy iowards all the people who reach oui to thern. Cresceni F(4)d Bank provides a lifeline for
many individuals and families in Bolion who ar¢ r￿ing rc￿￿ inse¢urtry.'

Th¢ trusi¢¢s hav¢ given due regard io the Charity Commission's guidance on pwblic benefit and are confident that
Cres¢eni Food Bonk benefits the ¢ommunity.
From Isl April 2023 to 3151 March 2024, Cr¢sc¢nt Food Bank distributed 1,634 food parcels, helped 4.719 people and
provided 165,165 meals.
Volunteerj
The charity relies entlrely on volunteers and the truste¢s IT¢ V¢ry W4teful for all those individuals who 8ive up their lime
io help those less fortunate.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Crescent Food Bank has developed good relationships with Asd8 and Cowop ￿1¢h 1$ helping greatly with inierim
donaiiorts. Member5 of the cornmittee hav¢ also b¢¢n all¢ndin8 Clusier meeiin85 With local schools to advise them on
how Crescent Food Bank con ￿1P parents who ar¢ suv88lin8 with day to ￿Y fwd provision.
In November 2023, Utility project weni live and this was desi8ned io assist families on prepayment meters and in
r¢¢eipt of universal credit. All of our seryi¢¢ users under80 thorough vettin8 procedures and only on the production or
good evidence of hardship are they Provided vouchers iowards ihe costs of gas and electricity.By F¢bruary 2024,
Crescent Food Bank had helped 77 setvice users ihrou8h this project.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Princip41 funding sourees
Durin8 the year. the charity benefrted froTn £49,806 in grant fvnding. £18,806 was received from the National Lottery
Communiry Fund io help with our Nourithing Lives and Bridging Hope project. £31.000 was received from Bolton CVS
to help with our Household Suppwt Fund project.

Reserves poliey
Cr¢s¢¢nt Food Bank relies on a mixlure of grdni ￿ndIng and volunteer donations to meet its costs. Fixed cost5 are
relatively low and as such the trustees feel that a reserve of £10,000 is suifitient to enable core operation5 to continue
for at least 6 months albeit in a reduced cap¥ity. At the peri()d ¢n¢kd 31 Murh 2024 the Charity held in excess of
£42,000 in the general fund allowing the surplus to be designated to specific fijture projects.
STRucfuRE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEME
Governing do¢um¢nt
The charity is controlled by its goveming documenL dakd 16th November 2021, a deed of tru51 and constitutes a
Charitable Incorpordted Organisation.

Recommended Prdctice applicable to charilies preparing their accounts in accordance with th¢ Financi#l
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019),.

All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the clllrity h&8 eniitlement io the funds, it
