Objectives and Activities
Punch Bag Art Gallery is a contemporary, independent gallery founded with the purpose of fostering artistic appreciation among the public. We aim to exhibit a diverse range of artworks, from established to new artists, to inspire creativity and engagement within the local community.
Achievements and Performance
To date, the gallery has focused on setting up its operations and creating a welcoming space for artists and visitors alike. While we have yet to commence trading or generate profit, our efforts have been directed towards establishing a strong foundation for future activities.
Financial Review
The financial period ended 31 March 2023 reflects a year of preparation without trading activities. Consequently, there are no profits to report. Detailed accounts are attached, showing expenditures related to the setup and maintenance of the gallery space, along with any donations received to support our mission.
Trustees' Report
The Trustees are committed to the vision of Punch Bag Art Gallery as a hub for artistic expression and appreciation. We acknowledge the challenges of operating without profit in our initial phase but remain dedicated to our goals.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, we aim to increase our engagement with the artist community, host exhibitions, and begin trading activities. We also recognise the urgent need for additional support, particularly in the area of computer and technology skills to manage our records and communications more effectively.
Appeal for Volunteers
We desperately need more volunteers, especially those with computer knowledge, to help update our records and enhance our communication efforts with members. This need has become increasingly critical as our
operations grow more time-consuming and expensive.
