Introduction
The Trustees' Annual Report provides an overview of the charity’s activities, achievements, and financial position for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. The report aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and trustworthiness of financial and operational information for all stakeholders, including donors, beneficiaries, regulators, and the wider public.
Objectives and Activities
Mission Statement:
The Dayax Foundation is committed to improving the well-being and living conditions of vulnerable communities in Somalia. Guided by compassion, we aim to bridge the gap to a better tomorrow through healthcare services, educational support, and vocational training for orphans, disabled individuals, and those facing poverty.
Key Activities in 2024-2025:

Administrative restructuring and internal planning to improve governance, accountability, and long-term sustainability. Providing essential healthcare services and nutritious meals to those in need.

Updating and maintaining the Foundation’s website to improve transparency, accessibility, and communication with donors and the wider community.

Maintenance and improvement of the charity shop premises, including repairing external signage to enhance visibility and community engagement.
Achievements and Performance
During this reporting period, the Dayax Foundation achieved the following milestones:

Completion of essential administrative and organizational improvements to support future programme implementation. Raised awareness about the challenges faced by families with disabled children in Somalia and mobilized community support.

Website improvements that enhanced the Foundation’s digital profile and capacity for outreach, fundraising, and information sharing.
While this year was focused on building a strong foundation for impactful work, we successfully upheld our mission to support vulnerable groups and maintained compliance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Review
The following summarises the Dayax Foundation’s income and expenditure for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025:

Reserves:
Remaining funds will be carried forward to support future projects, including further shipments of resources and the development of vocational training programs.
Structure, Governance, and Management
The Dayax Foundation is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, including the Founder Khadija Hussein and Trustees Fozia Farhia Hassan Jama and Faiza Warsame Halane. Together, they oversee all activities and make decisions collectively during trustee meetings.
No significant changes were made to the governance structure during this period.
Plans for the Future
Looking ahead to 2025-2026, the Dayax Foundation plans to:

Strengthen partnerships with local organizations and community leaders in Somalia to ensure programmes are culturally appropriate, effective, and sustainable. Host or participate in fundraising events in the UK, such as bake sales or selling goods, to generate additional funds for our initiatives.

Increase fundraising and donor engagement efforts by leveraging the improved website, charity shop presence, and community outreach activities.

Working to bring a Thrift store running in business to provide 50% charity policy towards the cause and selling clothes online in the UK
