Achievements and Performance SORP relernnco The Handswoth Wood Youth Forum continued to work in collaboration with the As-suffa Outreach programme in helpin9 to providè hot food and shelier for Birmingharn's homeless population. Working from a unit in Binningham City Cent, homeless people from the city - Muslims and non-muslims alike - are invited to partake of hot meals every evening, as well as being able lo stsy ovemight in the heated unit during the winter months, with clean and warm blankets and sleeping bags provided. Summary ofth& main a¢hiev8ments of th8 charity, Identlfying the differen the charity's wrk has made to the circumstanc8s of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. P8r8 1.20 As a result of the pandemic, this collaboration between Masjid Aisha and As- Suffa was extended to provide food parcels for those elderly, disabled, people who were shieldlng due to health conditions and people who could not afford basic essentials due to not being able to work and not receiving fvrlough support. People from the community donated foodstuffs and basic hygiene essentials which were then packed into parcels by volunteers who also distributed the parcels to those in need. Our annual program was held for the local community, for both Muslims and non- Muslims alike, where lectures were glven and dinner was Served. This proved to be 8 resoundlng success, with many members of the community giving great feedback about how the event helped to bring dlfferent parts of the community together.
