Objectives and Activities

Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	The charity, having become established at the Fishbourne Centre, has been busy fitting out the two workshop buildings it constructed in 2023 for members to use, together with commencing on the refurbishment of a former cricket pavilion for social use.

Contribution made by volunteers	Para 1.38	Members of the Men’s Shed have been actively involved in fitting out the new buildings with materials purchased by way of grants awarded to the charity. Also works are in hand to improve and repair the existing former cricket pavillion. Repairs and commissions for new items have been received from the local community and worked on by members of the Shed.

Para 1.20	Although the main focus has been on setting up the new permanent home, the twice weekly meetings have encouraged individuals to attend and to enjoy fellowship, participate in activities, learn new skills and find a renewed purpose in life.

Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set	Para 1.41	Although no formal fundraising targets have been set, some valuable revenue has been received from projects constructed by members for local public bodies, schools and individuals.
Investment performance against objectives	Para 1.41	After reviewing the investment opportunities open to the charity, it was evident that these did not offer a significant return. It was, for the foreseeable future, decided that the charity will maintain all funds in the current Santander Business Account.
