The Cliff Villages Christian Fellowship was established in 2021 to be an independent group, concentrating on sharing the Christian Faith with people from Navenby and the villages in the surrounding area. 

## **Objects of the Cliff Villages Christian Fellowship** 

To advance the Christian religion in Navenby and surrounding areas for the benefit of the public, through the holding of worship and prayer meetings, religious education, Christian fellowship opportunities, pastoral activities and support for the charitable needs of the community, as a practical expression of the Christian faith. 

## **Advance the Christian religion for the benefit of the public** 

We have continued to feel our way forward and have fulfilled our objects through the various means defined in our constitution. 

We have given copies of the ‘Hope for Christmas’ and ‘Hope at Easter’ magazines to parents of Storykeepers and Baby & Toddler group, and Real Easter Eggs & Christmas Angels, each of which comes with a booklet retelling the Christmas/Easter stories, to the Storykeepers children.  These magazines were also provided during relevant seasons for Navenby Methodist Church. 

## **Worship and Prayer meetings** 

Regular Sunday worship meetings including the opportunity for learning, prayer and sharing faith. 

We also held a regular online meeting “Connections” where we shared participants’ experiences, concerns and prayers. 

## **Religious Education** 

Our worship meetings include religious education by default.  We offered the opportunity for others to join in Bible Study, examining the events leading to Christmas and Easter, in meetings at the relevant times of year.  These were shared with other local churches and attended by members of various churches. 

We made financial contributions to support the work of the Joy Foundation in local schools and made offers to two local primary schools to fund teaching and worship materials to support the most recent materials for Religious Education.

## **Storykeepers Club** 

We provide leadership for a monthly club for primary school children.  We play games, engage in craft activities, watch and discuss videos, which always include Bible stories.  This provides an opportunity to share Christian values with the children.  We have involved some of the older children who are no longer in the appropriate age range to help to run these sessions, enabling them to take leadership in some of the activities.  This has been a positive initiative. 

## **Christian fellowship opportunities** 

Fellowship comes as part of the conversations we have before and after meetings and in the sharing of hopes and experiences during them. 

## **Pastoral Activities** 

Have included visiting those experiencing continuing illness, and the housebound, throughout the year as we have been made aware of those who could benefit from some support. 

## **Support of the Charitable Needs of the Community as a practical expression of the Christian faith.** 

Through our website we have encouraged the support of the Lincoln Food Bank and the Nomad Centre for homeless people. 

Some of our members are continuing to assist the Parish Council weekly Youth Café, which takes place each Friday evening at “the Venue” in Navenby. 

We have provided leadership and staff input to the Baby and Toddler Group which meets each week during term time.  These sessions are designed for parents and carers with their babies and toddlers up to the age when they start attending a nursery or school. The sessions are free to the users and allow both children and adult carers to interact with others. A simple craft activity is available each week and we end each session with singing, with the children playing musical instruments. The musical part starts with a simple worship song, followed by nursery rhymes. 

## **General Contributions to Fulfilling our Objects.** 

Although listed under specific objectives, most of our activities also make an intrinsic contribution to our other objects.

## **Publicity** 

We maintain a website cvcf.org.uk to provide information about our operations and have placed regular adverts in the local village magazines and social media.  These methods have produced interest and engagement. 

## **Ecumenical Work and Relations** 

Our activities and meetings are open to all and where appropriate we have liaised/worked with members of Navenby Methodist and Graffoe Parish Churches located locally, and people who attend more distant churches, but are interested in working with us. 

## **Finance** 

We do not charge for any of our activities, nor actively seek contributions, since we intend that they should be enjoyed and available to all irrespective of the ability to pay.   Financial income for the charity has entirely consisted of unsolicited donations. 

The accounts have been prepared on a simple income and expenditure basis in the form required by the Charity commission. 

Total income for this year of operation was £7,281.33, which is below the thresholds requiring independent examination or audit; however, we have decided to seek an independent examination. Total expenditure has been £2,816.63 leaving a net balance of £4,464.70 to be added to the amount carried forward from last year of £13,874.36 creating total funds of £18,339.06, which is held in Cooperative Bank Charities Accounts. 

A further £1,251 will be reclaimed from HMRC for Gift Aided donations during the next financial year. 

## **Reserves Policy** 

We intend to reserve the balance available at the end of this accounting period to ensure funding for costs and future projects.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above thariry 1.the TrusVI for the year ended

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordante with the
requirements of the Charities Act 20111.the Actrl.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts Cafried OLbt under 5ertion 145 of the 2011 Act and
In carrying out my examin3tion, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commi55ion
under 5ecrion 1451Sllbl of the Act.
The charlty's gross Income was less than £25,CxlO and therefore an independent examination Is not requlred bv
law. However, you have requested me to carry out an examination on a voluntary ba515. l am quallfied to
undertake the examination by being a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to my attention in connèrtion
with the examination whlch gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 130 of the Charitie5 Act,. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records,. or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements toncernin8 the form and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Report51 Regulations 2¢)08 other than any requirement
that the accovnts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter tonsidered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which I
consider attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to
