## **Trustee Report for Year Ending 2024** 

The Charity has been inactive for the past three years. 

However, during the period under review, The Trustees have engaged with the Parish Council and other youth organisations who share our aims and objectives to explore opportunities where the Charity’s financial assets can be utilised for the benefit of the young people of Marchwood. 

Unfortunately, these discussions are protracted. Further dialogue is required and ongoing to ensure that The Trustees are satisfied that the Charity’s financial assets will be used for legacy purposes, not for one-off events with no long-term benefits for young people. 

Trustees decided to relinquish the lease for the room/building from the Parish Council where the Youth Club’s youth sessions were conducted. 

Due to the proposed rent increase, the trustees agreed to give the notice to relinquish the lease. Formal notice was given on 31[st] May 2023. 

The three ‘founding’ trustees, Colette Cockeram, John Case, and Darryl Hindle, remain as the sole trustees of the Marchwood Youth Steering Group charity and continue to ensure that the charitable aims and objectives are met.
