**Objects:** THE OBJECTS ('OBJECTS') OF THE CIO ARE TO FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF GUITING POWER (THE 'PARISH') AND ELSEWHERE, ESPECIALLY THE COTSWOLD NATIONAL LANDSCAPE (FORMERLY THE COTSWOLD AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY)(THE 'CNL'), AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:3.1 TO ADVANCE THE ARTS, CULTURE, HERITAGE OR SCIENCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION, MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF LAND AND BUILDINGS OF BEAUTY OR VISUAL CHARACTER OR OF ARCHITECTURAL, HISTORIC, ECOLOGICAL, SCIENTIFIC OR OTHER PARTICULAR INTEREST IN THE PARISH AND OTHER PARTS OF THE CNL AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME; 3.2 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, ESPECIALLY IN THE PARISH AND OTHER PARTS OF THE CNL;3.3 TO ADVANCE EDUCATION BY (A) PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF COLLEGES, SCHOOLS, SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES, AND OTHER GRANTS AND FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION (B) SUPPORTING HISTORICAL RESEARCH (ESPECIALLY IN RELATION TO HISTORY OF THE PARISH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA) PROVIDED THAT THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THE RESEARCH ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.

**Activities:** The principle objective of the Trust is the conservation of the land and buildings of beauty and historical interest within the Guiting Power Parish and elsewhere, especially within the Cotswold Hills, and is extended to include preserving the local rural and visual character and amenities of the area.
