Trustees’ Report
For the year ended 31 August 2025
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2025. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
Objectives and Activities
Our charity is dedicated to advancing education, providing training opportunities, and promoting religious activities, including the publication of books. Our mission is to serve a broad spectrum of beneficiaries, including children, the elderly, people with disabilities, other charities and voluntary bodies, as well as the general public. We are committed to fostering a community where learning, spiritual growth, and mutual support are accessible to all.
Achievements and Performance
Over the past year, our charity has been at the forefront of advocacy, providing essential advice and information to our beneficiaries. We have engaged in meaningful dialogue with various stakeholders, ensuring that the voices of those we serve are heard and their needs addressed. During the year the charity continued to commission and produce educational publications, supported by donations from member mosques and revenue from book sales and collections.
Financial Review
Total income for the year was £36,581.52, against total expenditure of £45,466.66, resulting in a net outgoing movement in funds of £(8,885.14). This follows a year in which expenditure included the production of Book 4, comprising author/writing fees and printing costs, alongside ongoing staff salary costs. The charity’s funds brought forward at 1 September 2024 were £10,933.34, and funds carried forward at 31 August 2025 were £2,048.20. Trustees should note that expenditure on book production exceeded income in this period; this is expected given the up-front costs of producing a new publication ahead of future sales income, and the charity’s reserves should be monitored closely going into the next financial year.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, our charity is dedicated to expanding its reach across England, with a particular focus on enhancing our educational and training programs, producing at least one book (book 5) this year and publishing it for the benefit of beneficiaries. We recognize the growing need for accessible education materials and training, and we are developing new initiatives to meet this demand.

Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Alrayan Foundation for Education and Training
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2025, which are set out on the following pages.
Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Act and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
Examine the accounts under section 145 of the Act,
Follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act, and
State whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner’s Statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.
It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
Independent Examiner’s Statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act 2011, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act, have not been met, or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
