The object of the CIO is to advance the Christian religion for
the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively by
identifying, creating and providing resources and
opportunities including-.
through Ihe holding of conferences, educational
lectures and relationship forums-,
providing leaching helps. practical leadership
supwrt and guidance.,
undertaking Christian mission activity., and
establishing leadership developmenl platroms which
share ideas for the advancement of the Christian
religion as well as broadcast Christian messages of
an inspirational, evangelistic and teaching natu￿.
Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of
the propety of the CIO for the purposes which are not
charitable in accordance wilh section 7 of the Charities and
Trustee Inv8slment {Scotlandl Act 2005 and section 2 of the
Charities A¢1 {Northem Ireland) 2008.

leaders in attendance, representing 17 different nations.
Inspiring, equipping and eMF￿ering leaders to continue
building Christian churches and organisations across
Europe.
Leaders Online Gatherings, with around 70-120 in
attendance, gathered 2 ts.mes during 202314.

Our key objectives were to gather leaders for facilitated
conversations, ne￿orkIng and building relationships, for the
purFK)se of building stronger and healthier organisations
across Europe. We achieved this through the activities
above.

Due to an ongoing delay in being able to open a bank
account, all activities were undertaken without any direcl
expenditure or income and with the support of volunteers
and other charity conne¢lions.

policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
The reserves policy for EMPOVVERED21 is to aim to hold at
least three months income as cash resetves. This is in
addition to fixed assets held and used for the church's aims
and purposes. This level of rese￿eS should ensure that at
any time of the year the Charity is not required to borrow
funds on overdraft from its bankers. Any addrtional reserves
are generaled with a view to fund longer term projects.

Trustees, with support from theAssemblies of God
Great Britain staff members and infraslructure. 11 will

ad hoc communication via email. Charitie5 activities will
be governed by a Cabinel of church l organisation
leaders from across Europe.

the Conflict of Interest policy and within truslee
meetings.
