**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF ANIMALS IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION, IN PARTICULAR RABBITS, AND TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN RESCUE HOMES OR OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE AND TREATMENT OF SUCH ANIMALS, MEDICAL TREATMENT, INCLUDING VACCINATIONS AND NEUTERING WHERE APPROPRIATE AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO ANIMAL WELFARE IN GENERAL AND THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY AND SUFFERING AMONG ANIMALS.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].

**Activities:** We take in, free of charge, mistreated or abandoned rabbits, including pets whose owners suffer ill health or financial difficulties or pass away. Animals in our care receive veterinary treatment, are vaccinated and neutered as art of our on-going programme and are then are found new permanent homes. We also offer free animal care advice and education to the general public.
