SUMMARY
The Emergency Response Team Search and Rescue UK (ERT SAR) is a UK based national and international Disaster Response organization
It is properly organized like an Emergency Service with a structured command and control leadership which aids in the efficiency and safety of the team in an operational setting with associated connections with other organisations which have similar and distinctly different names, but all in the pursuit of ensuring the provision of relief and assistance to people in the time of need.
PUBLIC BENEFIT
In all ERTSAR activities the Founding Trustees established this charity to be free from external influence and pressure which may negatively affect and impact a person’s human rights and the public and humanitarian benefit.
ERT SAR aims to support and help anyone and everyone regardless of their religion, race, sex, age etc and indeed aims to support all EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) best practice.
There is no specific restriction on who receives the benefit and ‘anyone or victim of disasters and emergencies who needs it’ and in as broad and area as we can help, is the general approach pursuant to the charitable aims.
ERT SAR ACTIVITIES
ERT SAR is a well-known recognized organization. We presently have no paid staff and all member and Trustees are unpaid volunteers. We are also able to leverage contacts and partners to donate services and monies directly resulting in very little to no money presently going through the books. We expect this to change by next year, however.
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)

We also provide comprehensive training and education to support and that build capacity and resilience with the people and communities.

Achievements and performance
Section D
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The achievements during this fiscal and reporting period revolved around the establishing of the CIO and specifically building and developing the specific administrative and operational activities which would be to the public benefit in a way that ensures that we are able to support the public with the services we provide as well as develop ongoing connections and develop strategic plans and support.
Most all of these was done without any public donations or income, per se, although we expect that to change moving forward.
We have a lot of donated services and operational resources (from accounting and book keeping support to administrative and communications services ensuring that we are set up moving forward.)
We can report that during this period we
-
Trained people in various resilience programs
-
Built capacity in local and remote communities
-
Developed a program for youth in schools and communities
-
Created freely available resources and training programs
-
Put out safety and caring messages on several media and channels
-
Created mental health initiatives and education programs
-
Supported other organisations in mutually beneficial areas
-
Established new training and community safety initiatives
-
Assisted with search, rescue, medical and humanitarian services
At the end of the year we neither reported a loss and gain in income.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
The Trustees have examined the charity's requirements for reserves in light of the main risks to the organisation. It established an original policy whereby once the more proactive fundraising and donations start coming in that the unrestricted funds not committed and held by the charity should be no less than £1000 initially. That being said there are no financial transactions yet this fiscal.
