We are a CIO group who ore registered with CIW to provide All day care. The following are the
Se￿ICe5 we provide. but children can be cared for all day if they choose to from 9.00am- 5.30pm.
When the number of children attending the playgroup 15 low we only offer an afternoon session that
provides care from 11.30am-3pm for combined playgroup and wrap around children. These
children can also attend the after-sch(K)I club 3pm- 5.15pm. Thi5 is done to protect the group from
financial dtfficulties and the risk of dosure as providing all day care when Trumbers are low has a
great financial impact on the group.
When the number of chIld￿n attending the group for playgrouplwrap around sessions is high the
group is then in a financial position to operate from 9.(X)am. The group is open to all families with
young children between the age of 2 years- 12 years. We provide pre-school childcare sessions 9.
am- 11.30 am that include 10 hours of Earty Entrttement and Ftying Start Session& A Wrap around
service 11.30 am- 3pm as part of the 30-hour childcare scheme all based in Flintshire. An after-
school club Servi￿ 3.(M)pm- 5.30 pm.
We are reEiStered with the Care Ins￿rate Wales {awi and there are poI￿leS and pro￿dureS in
place in accordance with their minirnum standards. We are also inspected by Estyn. The group works
closety with Early Year5 Wales and Eart¥ Entitlement teacher
Since We have become a flying start area rnany more families have been able to access our group
meaning we have been able to support many more children as well as their families as a whole.
Some of our parents are not eligible for any funding support to pay for fees and therefore we try to
keep our fee's as low as possible to ensure these families can Still 3£￿sS our group. All our families
have the right to be included in how the gmup operates and the activities and service5 they would
like to see. The parents are vali￿1 members of the group also support the group in any fundraising
activities. The group also works dosely with the school where V￿ operate from and the wider close
knit village community.
The group has re￿iVed various funding. We have used this funding to purchase a wide range of
resources for the children to use indoors and outdTh)rs enabling the group to further develop all
areas of leaming through play. The group ha5 found It dTfficukt to fundraise as parents as well as the
local community are struggling with the current cost of living. The New curriculum 15 in place, and
they continue to receNe guidance and support for this from their Early Entitlement teacher. The
group has supported staff to attend training sessions to further their understsnding and knowledge.

The staff have then been able to bring these new skills back to the group to support the children in
their learning.
The group has worked closely with faTnilie5 to support additional Learning needs. SO their children
are able to attend the group.
We will continue to work closety with nintshire Aying start, Early Entitlement, Childcare offer a5 well
as Early Years Wales.
The group will continue to strive to be sustainable and available to the community.
All trustees and Parents Volunteer their time and knowledge to 5UPWrt the group including staff and
we are very appreciatr4e of this.
