Para 1.17 and 1.19 To fulfil its objectives, Baby Check Bath has continued to develop its relationship with the University of Bath. We are members of the BSW Research Hub at the University of Bath. This group is funded by the department of Health and is under the umbrella of the National Institute for Health Research. The group brings together Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire primary care, community health and social care projects. The research hub supports and facilitates all aspects of applied health research, from help with preparing research proposals and obtaining relevant approvals, to providing research governance. As members of BSW Research Hub, we are investigating the views of service users on the provision of osteopathic care for babies and new mothers, in particular their views on the effect of treatment on their post natal wellbeing. We also have engaged Masters students to work with us to analyse and write up our valuable data as part of their Masters projects including carrying out some more in- depth interviews with parents to gather richer qualitative data. This relationship with BSW Research Hub gives us excellent research support to fulfil our charity aims. |
