We are members of the<br>BSW Research Hub at the University of<br>Bath. This group is funded by the<br>department of Health and is under the<br>umbrella of the National Institute for Health<br>Research. The group brings together Bath<br>and North East Somerset, Swindon and<br>Wiltshire primary care, community health<br>and social care projects. The research hub<br>supports and facilitates all aspects of applied<br>health research, from help with preparing<br>research proposals and obtaining relevant<br>approvals, to providing research<br>governance.<br>As members of BSW Research Hub, we are<br>investigating the views of service users on<br>the provision of osteopathic care for new<br>mothers, in particular their views on the<br>effect of treatment on their post natal<br>wellbeing.<br>We also have engaged Masters students to<br>work with us to analyse and write up our<br>valuable data as part of their Masters<br>projects including carrying out some more in-<br>depth interviews with parents to gather richer<br>qualitative data.<br>This relationship with BSW Research Hub<br>gives us excellent research support to fulfil<br>our charity aims.<br>The results of a pilot study supported by<br>Healthwatch Bath and North East Somerset|





Have been published in the magazine of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy, the largest body of post graduate osteopathic education.
