Th8 PyFoundats'on is a family philanthropic ¢haTity based in Henley on Thames and the surrounding areas that rs commrtted to swnsoring disadvantaged children into their IT Joumey so that they may find new opportunities. Going fwards, it is hoped that these new leaming opportunities will make a real difference to them arKI prowde them with ¢areer aspirations that they mrght not otheise have been able to consider. Collaborating With local charities who have already eStal$hed link8 wlth disadvantaged families and are right at the heart of the Communty, it is possible to identfy children who have an interest in IT whilst at school allow trrn to develop that interest virtually in a pAfe environment in their homes. We have been growing the cdlaboralion with local charities and in our first year have b8en able to sponsor a few pn'mary school children already through a structured virtual IT path. Our obje¢ttve is very much to grow th& network and to encourage more children to embark on this sponsored journey. It 18 hoped that as the charity collaborates with more local communty based organisations more children can benefft from the IT learning which builds confidence and greater career asratIonS in their future.
